FLORA

The river coasts are peppered with a landscape of vines and a great variety of trees (chestnut, oak, birch, madroños, cherry, orange, and olives) and bushes (tojos, brezos, retamas)and a great number of aromatic and medicinal herbs (lavender, milenrama, wild oregano, hiperico, laurel) and a great number of wild bayas?(blackberries, blueberries, escaramujos)



FAUNA

Fish species in the rivers include, among others: trout, anguilas, boga, American perch, carp, and nutria? The forests are inhabited by fox, wild boar, corzos?, wolves and rabbits. In the many habitats? of the Sacred Coast it is possible to watch a great variety of birds (grey eagle, longtail curruca, royal redtail, hawk eagle, wedge-tailed eagle, royal eagle, Milano, royal owl and peregrine falcon, heron and duck)
